چکیده
Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) is worldwide disease affecting both domesticated and wild ruminants However, it has a significant economic impact on animal industry. Bovine herpes virus 1 (BoHV-1) can infect different organs of an animal. The current work aims to investigate the prevalence BoHV-l in cattle Mosul city, Iraq. In this study, 184 animals 6 months – 2 years old, were sampled between October 2020 March 2022. Plasma nasal swabs tested using Sandwich ELISA test for detection antigens. Results indicated that infection rate cows was 12/184 (6.5%). show that, there no difference among diseases concerning BoHV-1 respiratory, ocular, reproductive forms, sample type, whether plasma swabs, native imported breed (P≤0.05). Furthermore, detected males more than females 12/144 (8.3%), addition, 10/100 (10%) at 6-8 age

Persistent bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) infection in cattle herds
Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) is a significant pathogen associated with gastrointestinal, respiratory, and reproductive diseases of cattle worldwide. It causes continuous economic losses to the cattle industry primarily due to decreased reproductive performance. The ability of virus to cross the placenta during early pregnancy can result in the birth of persistently infected (PI) calves. P...

متن کاملThe first study of bovine immunodeficiency virus (BIV) and bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) co- infection in industrial herds of cattle in two provinces of Iran
BIV is a well-known bovine immunosup-pressive cause, but its pathogenesis has not been well characterized. It seems that it is possible that cofactors such as co- infection with other bovine viral pathogens may play a role in enhancing the pathogenesis of BIV infection; BVDV also has immunosuppressive effects. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was determination of possible correlation between BI...
